Detail Schön und ruhig gelegen. Top-Bungalow mit gutem Service. Nettes Personal mit Ausnahme des Besitzers oder Managers. Very nice location, good service and very friendly stuff – apart of the owner or chief.

Detail The room was clean, even it was not new. Bathroom is not in a really good shape,it smeld very badly from the drain in shower. You have to use one plastic bag and cover the hole in shower...than it is ok. We loved the location, food and prices. If you do some climbing is the best location. For 100 bths they take you to others sandy beaches around. We really loved it and we were traveling with 3 small kids.

Detail Tonsai Bay hotel is pefectly located underneath the cliffs near Tonsai. - Hotel rooms are not on the beach but nice bongalows in the trees. no beach view but also very quiet, can t hear the reggae bars at night - hotel rooms are nice, bathrooms are simple, electricity is standard for the islands (turns off during daytime) -restaurant is good, bar is super awesome location, smaller restaurants nearby care cheaper and maybe better taste - try to plan arrival to tonsai during high tide, otherwise longtail boat stops 200 meters away from hotel. Have to carry suitcase across coral flats - leave luggage at airport . Tonsai is beach resort so only need swimtrunks, pair of sandals, sun lotion, glasses etc. Right before exit Krabi airport, there is a Left Luggage shop. Seperate the leather shoes, ties, evening dress into on bag and leave there. then just take small bag with you to island. - can get a city bus ticket from krabi airport to Ao nong for 150 baht, instead of 400-700 baht for taxi. - long tail drop off is at left side of beach, hotel on right side. Hotel can send pickup/dropoff luggage by using their motorbike cart. - Tonsai beach is not railay beach. walk over rough trail 5 minutes or take long tail boat 5 minutes to railay beach with more hotels and some more shops. But Tonsai is same as Railay west beach and better than railay east beach

System worked and everything went smoothly

Detail I stayed only one night at this amazing place and enjoyed a good accomodation which is worth the price. Very good and cheap food in the restaurant which belongs to the resort. No problems to travel to Tonsai Bay by longtail and no problem as well to travel along to Koh Phi Phi by longtail which brought me to the ferry from Ao Nang to Koh Phi Phi. On the sea I entered the ferry like a pirate, another amazing experience. I would recommend the location and the T.B. Resort as well even for some days more. Perfect to experience the surrounding bays by canoe, to climb the rocks or just to chill out. Due to heavy rain in the evening I can not give a comment about the quality of the beach parties which should take place every night.

Detail Tonsai Bay is a great place to stay if you want a more backpacker vibe and enjoy rock climbing. Resort was fine, helpful staff and clean and tidy room.

Detail Tonsai Bay is a beauty, with natural surroundings. It s quiet, peaceful and laid-back. Truly a backpackers/climbers haven. Rooms are reasonably clean with fresh towels daily. Fully equipped rooms comes with coffee, kettle, a mini fridge, TV and free mineral water daily too! One of the biggest disappointment was the toilet was very smelly and lights were very dim, and a resident toad was living in the bathroom! I m not a big fan for slimy and scary creatures, my friends had to get the toad out after we d check-in. Love the place, just wished they will check the rooms throughly one more time before letting the guests check into their rooms. Another was that the restaurant staffs were not that friendly. Breakfast was okay...but will definitly come back again.

Detail the resort was good, quite basic but lovely spot. I was really disappointed with the beach it used to be gorgeous including rest of railay but since the Tsunami it is just rocks and broken coral and unless you have swimming shoes its not possible. Such a pity. most places show lovely photos of pre Tsunami. Tonsai is great if you a rock climbing enthusiast but not a swimming beach. Power goes off each afternoon for 2 hrs 3-5. no room service as there is no phone. if the tide is out you have walk miles from the longtail drop off with all your luggage in the heat on the beach.

reservationgood as usual. Could you contact Tonsai bay and ask them if they found a large brown envelope with all our documents in it. there is an phuket address on there where they could send it or to us in australia. thanks so much

Detail decent basic resort.not too luxurious for the price.no minibar or phone for room service.best and interesting part is getting to the resort.early mornings u can go directly by boat.afternoons u need to take a boat from ao nang to railay beach, then depending on the tide either walk through the rocky seashore, which is not at all recommended,as u will surely cut ur self, very sharp rocks.2nd and fun filled option climb the steep mountain, not too risky but then too watch ur step.and use the mountain only if u have light luggage.overall location is awesome.but resort is basic.

Detail This resort is amazing! Even if you don t want to rock climb there is plenty for you to do.The beach was the only down side to this resort although it didn t spoil our time spent here. There is alot of coral on the beach so make sure you wear footwear while on the beach (crocs are very handy). The food at the restaurant was always very tasty and the staff amazing. We stay in a superior bungalow and i have no fault with them at all. The rooms were cleaned daily and we always had clean towels.A boat to Ao Nang is only 80 baht one way if you want a little more life, we went over 1 night during our stay although it was too busy as we were looking for a quite holiday. Kayaks are a good way to get around and very reasonable for half day. I would absolutely stay at this resort again and recommend it.

Detail This hotel is stunning, the bungalows are clean and comfortable. We had a superior bungalow and i would recommend this as the standard rooms are towards the front of the resort and i can imagine them being quiet noisy at night. There are monkeys around the resort and this adds to the paradise and really makes you feel away from it all. The staff were always very helpful especially at the restaurant. I would say if staying at this resort take a rucksack as a suitcase it quiet awkward. All in all a fab resort and i would definately stay here again.

Detail Tonsai Bay was amazing!!! Surrounded by lush tropical forest and mountains for climbing. Great people and a chill vibe. Can also walk to Railey Beach when the tide is low. There you will find white sand beaches and crystal clear water. The bungalows were average but the total experience was well worth it!!!

Detail Be warned about this place. Peak season price is nowhere near worth it. Photos look ok but the room was grubby, it never got cleaned. There is also barely any difference between the superior and delux rooms, certainly not 500 bart difference. This room is worh nowhere near 2950 bart/night!!!

Detail Quite nice place at Tonsai Beach. Nice bungalow and friendly staff. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste.. A bit more relaxed feeling here than on Railey with lots of climbers and backpackers. Believe Tonsai Bay resort is a bit more posh than the other places at Tonsai beach so you might find cheaper accomodation elsewhere. OK to be on the beach and swim below the cliffs although a bit nicer if you tak a longtail to phra nang beach. Lots of OK restaurants up in the jungle.

Detail Clean rooms with airco and warm water. Nice exotic environment. Things to be aware of: the only way to reach the resort is by boat from Ao Nang (but you were looking for a quiet, isolated place, weren t you?) electricity is not available from 9AM to 5PM. (every day) Definetely worth the price.

Detail Sadly we were disappointed with this resort. The rooms did not get cleaned very well and the bathroom was not cleaned at all while we were there. Small things which make your stay more comfortable were also absent such as a bedside lamp for reading although I requested one several times and a mirror in the bathroom. We originally booked for just 3 nights but ended up having to stay longer because nowhere else in the vicinity had any vacancies. The restaurant where breakfast was served was also dirty with hundreds of flies all over the place. The breakfast buffet was never covered over and the flies were always crawling over everything. Most of our family ended up with stomach upsets which has never happened before to us in Thailand, but then we have never shared our breakfast with flies before! My advice to anyone looking for a resort in this area is to go elsewhere. The Tonsai Bay resort is too expensive for what you get and is probably the worst mid-range resort we have ever stayed at in Thailand.

Booking service was great. We altered our dates at one point and that was all changed with no problems.

Detail We stayed in one of the superior cottages these are well back from the noisey beachfront bars. The walk to the rooms meant walking along a short rocky path past a few dirty shacks, of a night time there is no lighting so take a torch. There was not a traditional Thai feel to the rooms (whitewash walls, a little clinical). The rooms were made up each day but the bathroom smelt quite mouldy, air con worked well tho. I would not bother with the restaurant, there are a lot of ants on the tables and the breakfast buffet is open to flies (had breakfast the following day at Railay). We will come back to this part of Thailand as the scenery and cliffs are magnificent but will stay in Railay West.

Detail The Hotelroom were nice. You must know that there are two sides to Krabi. The Hippie side(Tonsai side) and not hippie side. The location for us was fine. The breakfast was horrible. Too many flies! Overall, it was okay but I m not sure, sense I did not do much research..Maybe a bit expensive for what we recieved.

Detail To cut a long story short - we got a really bad service: we reserved a superior room in advance through sawadee.com, and paid in advance, but when we arrived it appeared that they gave away all the superior rooms already and they said that they are already full! only after long hours of negotiating and after involving the sawadee.com team, they gave us a standard room. We also heard many people complain that there isn t hot water (and of course we did not have as well). On top of all, instead of appologizing for their mistake, they treated us as if we are the ones to blame and were very unhelpful (especially the manager of the place who just sat there without doing nothing). We will definitely not recommend this place!!!
