Detail This is the second time we have stayed at Lanna Mantra. It is a beautiful hotel in a very beautiful location. I would recommend it to anyone. It is only a ten minute taxi ride into town and so nice and peaceful to be beside the Ping River. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are lovely and gardens beautiful. I wouldn t stay anywhere else in Chiang Mai!

Detail Lanna Mantra is a nice place to stay. All members of the staff are friendly and always prepared to help. The restauant on riverside is very good and cheap.

Detail A gem of a hotel, nicely out of the hustle & bustle of the city but not too far that it costs a few pounds by taxi to get back if you use the hotel s free river boat to get into the city on a morning or the minibus on an evening.

Detail Lanna Mantra is located 5 km from Chiang Mai Town. The resort offer shuttle service, from airport and every day 10:30 morning (boat down Ping River) Afternoon 18:00, (Van to Town) always on time, very useful for us. Tuk-Tuk from city, 150 – 200 Bath. The room was large, nice and clean, with a big balcony, a perfect peaceful place to relax. Cleaning, garden, pool, restaurant and staff were excellent and helpful. Restaurant: Very good food, for small money. All in All: Full value for your money, we will highly recommend it to all, this is a little bit paradise and we are coming back ;o) Danmark

Detail Lanna Mantra is an beautiful lush country retreat, stunning garden setting and river side pool/bar make this a very peaceful and restful hotel. For anyone who wants to get away from it all, this is the perfect hotel. Service is good, maybe it a little too laid back, but still helpful when you want it. 10 mins ride into Chang Mai town can be a problem come back in the evening as some tuk tuk s don t want to make the ride. All in all this place is highly recommended, we loved it!

Detail The resort has a lovely setting by the river with lush garden which could be one of the highlights of the stay. Located about 15 minutes away from the city centre, so this is a good choice for those who prefer more peaceful environment. The room offers basic facilities which can make the stay comfortable. They should upgraded the blankets to duvets. The room was relatively dark due to limited lighting but could be quite romantic for those who prefer. The balcony makes it more special. Menu offers limited choices, breakfast was basic with cooked eggs. The resort should consider to offer choices of coffees for breakfast instead of making additional charges. The resort offers shuttle services which were very useful. I must say that they were very flexible with the shuttle service. Staff were attentive and helpful. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and good value for money.

Detail Loved this hotel! So beautiful and quiet and clean. Large rooms, nice balconies and clean bathrooms. Gorgeous pool, setting and excellent restaurant. The staff are amazing and bend over backwards to help you. The in room massages are good and affordable! One of the things we liked and disliked the most was the location - it is outside of Chiang Mai city so you have to plan to go into town and get home at night (can be a bit expensive). If you are interested in a relaxing, peaceful, natural setting and experience then this is it! If you want to be in the action and fun or if you are scared of lizards then do not stay here! We would definately return in a second!

Detail Great place out of town 6-8km (150-200 Baht by Tuk Tuk).Rooms, garden, pool excellent. Staff v.helpful. I highly recommend it.

Detail Lovely location,staff very helpful and friendly. We love the service and the grounds very beautiful. The room was big and nicely furnished. a little bit far from the centre but the hotel provide transport. We would love to come back and stay here again.

Detail What a wonderful place! Peaceful athmosphere, nice and clean rooms, helpful staff, swimmingpool in the garden near the river ... paradise! However it is located quite far from Chiang Mai inner city - at least 10 minutes by taxi or tuk tuk. Anyway: Our children and we loved this place!

Detail Highly recommended! A very relaxing place with its own own character. My wife and I stayed in a standard room by the pond; and although we thought of upgrading to be by the river, we thoroughly enjoyed our spacious room with its beautiful setting. Pool setting by the river is truly magical. Lighting could be a bit stronger in the room - but a small matter. Staff were great, food very good... and the grounds exceptional. We rented a car which made the place very convenient, so highly recommend this combo for those interested in driving in the area... although access would still be convenient by tuk-tuk or cab. We would definitely return.

Detail We loved our stay at the Lanna Mantra Hotel in Chiang Mai. The room was lovely, the grounds beautiful, and the staff extremely kind and welcoming. When we arrived at the hotel we were given the standard room we requested. It was a bit musty, but adequate. The next day we moved to a triple (which was on the second floor). It was perfect for the duration of our stay. It is a bit inconvenient to be outside of the city, and the taxi fare can certainly add up. The hotel s restaurant is adequate after a long day of touring, but not somewhere you d want to eat regularly. Overall, we loved our time at Lanna Mantra and missed the intimate hospitality when we flew south to the beaches. I actually got teary saying goodbye to the staff.

Detail Its a wonderful hotel away from the busy city. There is even a river just behind the hotel. I think its a great place for people who have been to chaingmai before and have seen all the touristy sites in the city centre. If you are a first timer, the distance of the hotel away from the city may be a problem. When I was there, if I need to get to the city, i would need to take the tuk tuk/ taxi from the hotel. The receptionist are very helpful in this. each trip cost us THB150 per one way. So if you are looking for a place to relax, this is IT! to my opinion, its even better than tamarind village. however, if you want to sightsee, tamarind village would be better as its location is in the town centre. My mom and I really enyoyed our stay at Lanna Mantra and the staffs have been a great help. One particular staff, her name is Joy was most helpful. She even took the trouble to ferry us to a nearby restaurant with her motorbike which is way beyond her duty. Fnatastic place.

Detail This was a perfect stay!!! We stayed there one week during July in a two bed appartment and used it as a base for our trips through the beautiful and exciting north of Thailand. The rooms were a little bit dark, though, but the friendly and so very much engaged staff made up for this a thousand times. Breakfast and food in general was fine in that calm and friendly place and it was a little bit like joining a family. The pool is very clean and located with a great sight above the river, the resort itself is like a little paradise separated from the busy town, there is a beautiful pond with waterlillies in the entrance yard wich makes you forget that you live very close to Thailand s second biggest city. Most important were the nice gestures of the staff. When you waited for a pick up service in the morning, they came and offered to call them when they felt it was late, and when leaving we got some bookmarkers with a picture of us and the resort as a good buy present. All in all it is very much recommendable.

Detail We had a very pleasant 7 day stay at the Lanna Mantra. The staff and management were very friendly and their service exceeded our expectations. We would go back again and would recommend Lanna Mantra to our friends. Their meals and transport charges were most reasonable.

Booking service got there in the end despite an initial false confirmation. The inferance that it is an online booking is not how we would describe it - it takes up to 24 hours to get your request confirmed. If your requested accomodation is unavailable, valuable time is lost in making second or third choices. As seen above we were very happy with the third choice.

Detail I booked for 4 days and finally stayed on for 3 more weeks ! I loved this place ! its beautyful gardens on the riverside - the rooms (very clean ! and nicely decorated ) - nice swimmingpool with orchids floating on the water - and the atmosphere : very friendly and excellent service ! the hotel car provides shuttle into town and costs the same as a tuktuk I would recommend to everyone !

Detail The hotel has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.It is a little way out of town,pleasant 10minute drive along the river, and the staff will arrange taxi for you, so this wasn t too inconvenient. Not much variety for breakfast, but it was adequate. Overall good value for money.
