Detail Some of the friendliest and best trained staff of any hotel in Bangkok. Breakfast is fantastic and the only downside is that some of the amenities (massage, airport transfers, etc) are WAY over priced

Detail Very nice hotel....super breakfast and good restaurants. Convenient with the shuttleboat to Sky-trainstation. Would definitly stay there again.

Detail Very nice hotel! we got a king size room on 21st floor with an amazing view over the chao praya river! Room was comfortable and quiet! excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner (even if dinner was a little bit expensive as we just booked B&B but was very valuable)! Useful free boat service which connect the hotel with the nearest skytrain stop every 30 mins!

Detail We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Overall it was very nice, great modern facilities, very expansive breakfast with options of western or asian type, made to order omlettes. Though there was a free boat shuttle to the other side of the river, we never used it, nor were we encouraged to by the staff. Instead, anytime I asked how to get somewhere, I was always told that the taxi was the easiest route. One time we did use the express boat, which has a dock right next door to the hotel. We never took the sky train as it wasn t convenient and no stops nearby the hotel. In terms of location, it really wasn t near any of the major attractions, ie Grand Palace or Wats. It is about a 10min tuk tuk ride to the Night Bazaar. As for the service, I thought that given the price and the 5 star rating, I expected more. The staff were all nice enough, but I didn t get a very warm, welcoming feeling. The service was ok but impersonal. If I did it over again, I d probably stay closer to the World financial area/market/sky train in terms of convenience.

Detail As usually a pleasant stay at the royal Orchid Sheraton. The hotel has been well renewed. We asked for a late check out until 16.00 p.m the day later and the hotel kindly let us stay in the room until that time for a free charge.

Detail What a lovely hotel!Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.Magnificent views of river life and relaxing away from the hectic pace of downtown. Breakfast had heaps of choices.Comfy beds and good position by the river.

Detail Hotel is very nicce good Location good for some one love to be quited staff very helpful but only for Foreigner( i guess) because I am the person booking and on my Name i want to surprise him ( I am Thai, his wife) but receptionist just give all my husband detail about room price sign in not even ask my name who the one booking and i stand in there not said any word to me that displeased to me he has no idea about booking hotel price else So he have to stand there listen pretend he know about booking Only thing i want to say who ever thai or Foreigner there are your customer they paid for that you shoud give them good Service i just choose foreigner only

Detail Lovely hotel in a quiet part of Bangkok. Direct on the river bank. Hotel is currently being renovated, wherefore there are excellent discounts. The Excecutive Suite is roomy and can be recommended for families with children. Beautiful views of the city and river. Wonderful breakfast and sweet staff in the reception area. Garden pool is very nice.

Detail One of the best hotels I ever stayed. Me and my wife visited Bangkok during our honeymoon. We reserved a deluxe room, but when we arrived we ve been told that all rooms of this kind available have only twin bed. Without saying anything we have been upgraded to executive room on the 25th floor with a great river view. Overall the stuff is very kind and profesional and the breakfast buffet is great. Highly recommended

Detail We chose the Royal orchid for its riverfront location and on our daughter s recommendation. (She and her husband stayed there about 15 years ago.) Although we generally chose smaller and less luxurious hotels for the rest of our 3-week trip, we wanted serious comfort to recover from our long trans-Pacific flight and adjust to local time. The Royal Orchid provided this, and was good value for the money.
